Privacy Policy

Ironwood Aero South Africa (Pty) Ltd ("Ironwood Aero", "we") builds business and operations management software for airports, air navigation service providers and aviation authorities. We take a conservative approach to personal information: we collect the minimum we need, we don't sell it, and we delete it on request.

What we collect

• Information you send us: if you contact us, request a demonstration, or reach us through a marketplace listing, we receive the details you provide (typically your name, email address, organisation and message).
• Demo accounts: if we create a demonstration login for you, we hold your name and email address, and standard application logs record your sign-ins and activity within the demo environment.
• Technical logs: our web servers keep routine access logs (IP address, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability.
• Aggregate website statistics: we count page views on this website. See "Website analytics" below for exactly what that involves.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages on this website are read and where readers arrive from. We chose it specifically because it is a privacy-first, cookieless service.

• It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
• It does not build a profile of you and does not follow you across other websites.
• It records the page visited, the referring website, an approximate country, the browser and device type, and page loading performance.
• The result is a count. We cannot identify an individual reader from it.

Because it sets no cookies and collects no personal identifiers, it does not require a consent banner under POPIA or the GDPR. If you would rather not be counted at all, any standard tracker-blocking browser extension will prevent it, and the website will work exactly as it does now.

What we don't do

• This website sets no cookies and carries no advertising trackers. Our page-view counting is cookieless and anonymous, as described above.
• We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
• We share personal information with third parties only where required to operate our services (for example our cloud hosting providers) or where the law requires it.

Why we process it

We process personal information to respond to your enquiries, to provide and secure demonstration and production environments, and to operate our business, under the "legitimate interest" and "performance of a contract" grounds under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where it applies, the GDPR.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected. Demo accounts and their logs are removed when a demonstration concludes, and correspondence is retained only while relevant.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond promptly. If you are in South Africa you may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

Client operational data

Data processed inside the Ironwood Aero platform on behalf of a client (aircraft movements, billing records, registries) belongs to that client and is governed by the agreement with that client. This policy covers our website and demonstration environments.
